Hello Gatherers, one and all!  I hope everyone’s weekend went well, as did mine.  I was able to catch up on a lot of relaxing and a whole lot of reading, especially in light of the fact that yours truly missed Free Comic Book Day entirely but did manage to at least see Avengers: Infinity War in theaters! Suffice it to say, I was fortunately one of the souls spared by the wrath of Thanos.  Let’s just look past that though and see what I would suggest to you this week for light indie reading.

PREVIEWSworld

Truth be told, whenever you get a book from the world of Aardvark, you best be battening down the hatches and going on a whirlwind tour of fun and crazy kookiness! In this compilation work of so many parodies, one can take their pick from all the great stuff that Cerebus witnesses or sees.  There is never a dull moment in a literary tale such as this.  And the clever titles just scream at you to come read them.  So join in on more of Cerebus’s adventures in ridiculousness!

Rochelle Vol. 2 #1

PREVIEWSworld

Seems like just yesterday I was recommending this newly made character to you loving Grand Geeks.  Now she has come a long way and is set on a spring break vacation in the Florida Keys with her friends.  Clearly though it seems like there’s more than Rochelle and her friends bargained for when they discover a local ghost legend of the Keys known as Skeeter and it’s up to them to deal with its oncoming.  Will it be a smooth sailing spring break then for our bug-like avenger and her friends, or will it be more than they can handle?

And there we have it for the week, Grand Geeks and Gatherers!  Tales of everyone’s favorite comic humanoid anteater and a bug-like superhero taking care of shenanigans while on Spring Break.  These are the gems that await you along with so many more by a mere click of button on your keyboard or the tapping of a screen on your tablet or phone.  But I’ll encourage you to go that extra step and show your support for your local comic book shop by buying the hardcopy issues themselves.  Read them and share with your friends.  Start up a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two.  But most importantly, Gatherers, remember…GGG!
