Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, Gatherers! Alright I’m just going to admit to you adoring indie readers now, I am an absolute fanatic for all things associated with the holidays! Why even as I write this I am getting lightheaded from yet another glass of eggnog spiced up with crushed candy cane and nutmeg. So lets just get right to the Picks before I pass out, hmm?!

Synopsis: “On a journey to track down the grave of their estranged father, Maribel and Anthony find their way to the Malort Cemetery, a strange, seemingly abandoned field of mostly unmarked tombs. There they encounter an eccentric clan of grave-robbers who’ve devised a highly-addictive drug made from human remains–and the fresher the corpse, the stronger the dose. What started out as an attempt to reconnect with the past becomes a descent into a psychedelic, neon-colored nightmare…”
Something as fresh and inviting as Gravetrancers offers the reader a look at unresolved daddy issues along with psychedelic highs associated with dead bodies. A great mixture of topics if ever there was one! Of course, I’m curious to see just how deep into this world of necrotic induced drug high will take these kids on their quest to find their papa.
There’s your dose for the week, wonderful readers of indie comics! A smidgen of the holidays mixed with necrotic mind altering substances. These are what await you at the mere click of a button on your electronic devices, people! But you know what, I’m going to still suggest you head on down to your local comic shop and show them support by buying the hardcopy issues themselves. Read them and share with your friends. Spark up a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two. But most importantly Gatherers, remember…GGG!
