Howdy Grand Geeks aplenty!  It’s just me back here with all those great choices to be made when choosing the realm of indie comics.  With spring upon us now, there’s so many opportunities to get out under that balmy sun and find something worthwhile to read.  And just in case you are at a loss for what to peruse, let me make a few suggestions to set you at ease. Release the Picks!

Fractured Mind #1
Writer(s): James Gilarte
Artist(s): David Anton Gamis
Cover Artist(s): David Anton Gamis
Publisher: Red 5

Synopsis: “The serial killer known only as “The Crippler” has been terrorizing a small town, abducting teenage girls who are never heard from again. Never until Christie Laurence escapes from his clutches.  Now she’s Detective Johnson and Stephenson’s only clue to finding The Crippler, but first it means discovering Christie’s own dark secrets.”

It’s not too often in a given narrative that one is able to actually to use information provided by the victim of a serial killer to help end their reign of terror.  Christie seems to be just such a character that can help law enforcement toward tracking down this murderer and ending their reign of terror.  As with any good tale though, one must also have to sift through the secrets that she herself possesses.  Shall it lead to the successful apprehension of the Crippler?  Or is it all smoke and mirrors?  Read on Gatherers, read on!

Available in digital format from and Hardcopy format available at your LCS.

SuperMansion #1 (of 2)
Writer(s): Barry Hutchinson
Artist(s): Jake Elphick
Cover Artist(s): Juan Cabal, Zak Simmonds Hurn
Publisher: Titan

Synopsis: “Based on the Emmy nominated web-based animated show airing on Crackle, now featured on Adult Swim! Starring the vocal talents of Bryan Cranston, Chris Pine, Keegan-Michael Key, Jillian Bell, Yvette Nicole brown and Zeb Wells, produced by Robot Chickens Seth Green! Comic written by show writer Barry Hutchinson!
Aging superhero Titanium Rex, and his has-been team known as The League of Freedom, struggle to stay relevant in a changing world.”

Leave it up to Titan to use a web-based show as material for a two-parter story like this.  Poor old Titanium Rex just can’t seem to catch a break, nor can his team for that matter. They are has-been’s and completely washed up in the superhero business.  All is not lost though.  It just means they gotta fight harder to maintain their prominence!

Available in digital format from and  Hardcopy format available at your LCS.
