Happy-almost-Thanksgiving to all you Grand Geeks and Gatherers out there! I hope everyone is ready to enjoy festivities with family and will do so in a safe manner. It will be the same in my household. But again, before I get ahead of myself with nonsensical issues, let’s find what looks good this week in the indie comics world!

The Red #1 (of 4)
Writer(s): Matt Medney, Morgan Rosenblum
Artist(s): Jon Lam
Cover Artist(s): Jon Lam
Publisher: Heavy Metal – Virus
Synopsis: “In the distant future, a nuclear world war has changed the course of history forever. A single government entity now presides over what’s left of the world, and prohibits certain content that is deemed emotionally dangerous, or “red,” in attempt to maintain order and keep society working. A collection of gifted musicians, who possess the rare ability to create red content, discover they are the key to overthrowing the totalitarian government…”
In this dystopian tale, it seems music can truly change the world. With a one-world government in charge deeming all subversive content to be off-limits, and therefore “red”, it is up to musicians to use their talent to bring it down!
And there we have it for the month of November, folks! Dystopian worlds opposed by the power of music combined with more shenanigans of angelic/infernal couples in love. These tales and so many others await you at the mere click of a button on your keyboards or at the touch of a screen on your tablets and/or phones. But I will encourage every one of you to show your devotion to local business and head down to your comic shop this Wednesday to purchase the hardcopy issues themselves. Read them and share with your friends. Start a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two. But most importantly, remember…GGG!
