Howdy to all my adoring Grand Geeks and Gatherers out there! Well, it seems like summer is just around the corner everyone. The weather is nice and balmy. Perfect for a nice rest by the pool while enjoying a cool drink and a good piece of reading material. Perhaps I shall do just that this very day. But before I do so, let’s see what looks good this week in the indie comics world!

The Ballad of Ronan #1 (of 6)
Writer(s): John Walsh, Jim Walsh
Artist(s): Remy Jackson
Cover Artist(s): Remy Jackson
Publisher: Action Lab – Entertainment

Synopsis: “Long ago a war raged to extinguish all magic from this world and magic has not been felt since.  But when Aisling, an angry Irish orphan, runs away from foster care, she’s going to discover that the war isn’t over…”

PREVIEWSworld

Fantasy will always have its place in the realm of indie comics, and this miniseries brings it right to you in a story of a human orphan finding herself in midst of a world seemingly purged of magic. But is it truly gone? Well, when she finds herself in company of a fighter, a rogue, and a faerie, one can only conclude that it still exists to a point. And maybe, just maybe, its best that it flourishes again.
