Good day to all you adoring Grand Geeks and Gatherers aplenty out there! I am writing this especially early to get this out to you readers out there with all due haste on account that when this is available, I shall be on the road to San Diego Comic Con! Yeah baby, five years in a row now! But of course, I would entirely regret going down to the ultimate event of all geek fandoms without getting you a few suggestions when you mosey on down to your local store this week. So lets see what’s available for your discerning tastes, ladies and gentlemen!

Synopsis: “Three issues in one! FBI Special Agent Callum Cooper has always tried to escape his past, but some mistakes you can’t outrun. Now retired from a fatal diagnosis, an old foe returns to torture Callum in his last days. Unable to go it alone, Callum teams up with college student, Aisha Miller, hitting the road to catch the killer before more women become his victims.”
Action Lab’s Danger Zone comics always bring about a bit of the risque as well as some dark depth to the stories they churn out. In this particular piece we have an almost-ode to Twin Peaks with a retired and dying FBI investigator being taunted by a former adversary. In the proceeding story, said investigator must use the expertise of a college student to help track down this character before any more harm can be done to victims. But will justice indeed prevail in the end?

Synopsis: “Two iconic comic book characters meet up for the FIRST TIME in this historic crossover mini-series! A battle in Gotham City extends its reach into Riverdale-with Mr. Lodge becoming enemy #1 of the dynamic duo! Now it’s up to Veronica to recruit some help and place a call… to the Batcave!”
It was only a matter of time before the Dynamic Duo found themselves in Riverdale in this historic first time crossover between Batman and Archie. So apparently Mr. Lodge is now Batman and Robin’s enemy and the problems of Gotham reach down into Archie’s neighborhood forcing Veronica to recruit help from none other than its watchful protectors. The real questions that one has to ask is whether Batsy allows Jughead to eat burgers inside of the Batmobile, right?!
There you have it, Gatherers and Grand Geeks! Tales of terminally dying investigators fighting old nemeses combined with with the union of Riverdale’s and Gotham’s most iconic characters. These tales and more are what await you at the mere click of a button on your keyboard, tablet, or phone. But of course I will encourage you to take that extra step and show your support for your local comic store by heading down there this Wednesday to get these bad boys and others that catch your eye. Read them and share with your friends. Start a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two. But most importantly, remember…GGG!
