Mine is frustratingly cold but there is always the promise of spring slowly moving over the horizon. Until then I guess I’ll just be frozen in place while reading my favorite indie books. It would seem Denton J. Tipton’s Magma Comix imprint has hit instant fire with a new miniseries pitting young slaves in a fantasy world ravaged by drug abuse. I mean what’s not to love here, seriously?!

I can say with certainty that I was aware of Oingo Boingo growing up, and I can say with equal certainty that I had no idea Danny Elfman helped form the band! Alas, all you ever wanted to know about this new wave/ska/pop/alternative rock band is set right in this biographic selection!
