Merry Christmas, or Happy Festivus, or whatever have you to all you wonderful Grand Geeks and Gatherers out there! This week we come to enjoy the apex of the holiday celebrations. Many seeking to find what awaits them under that Christmas tree or to enjoy great food with friends and loved ones. In my case I seek to do all that and more but choose initially to curl up by my bedside heater and pull up some indie books to read. Before I do that though, let’s see what looks good this week in indie comics!
Gutt Ghost Stabbity Bunny #1 (one-shot)
Writer(s): Enzo Garza, Richard Rivera
Artist(s): Enzo Garza
Cover Artist(s): Enzo Garza
Publisher: Scout Comics
Synopsis: “Gutt Ghost and Stabbity Bunny clash in an epic battle of Uber Cosmic importance! The fate of the loser’s universe?! Utter annihilation! NAH, it’s nothing like that. You see, there’s this broken TV and, well, that would be telling. It’s funny, quirky, non-adventure at its very best when your regular-Joe-Everyman ghost meets your average knife-wielding plush bunny. See you there!”

What a macabre scene we have here when a gruesome when an eviscerated ghost goes toe-to-toe with a knife wielding bunny plushie! It seems to all boil down to some broken television but could result in a throw-down of epic proportions! Just who will win though? My money’s on none at this point.

Murder Hobo! All Inn at the Dragon’s Shaft #1

Publisher: Scout Comics
Synopsis: “Murder Hobo is back with more wild and deadly tales! At a local tavern, brave warriors in The Lands of High Adventure are becoming more aware of several “heroes” who are not what they seem. While sharing war stories, these adventurers realize they’ve each invited into their parties rogue agents who put them directly in harm’s way, often resulting in dead heroes and stolen treasure. We meet three more Murder Hobos…”

It seems everyone’s favorite adventuring party is back with more stories and shenanigans to speak of. New “heroes” inundate the party which bring them into harm’s way more often than not. Just what trouble they’ll get into, nobody knows!
