Hello Gatherers and Grand Geeks! I hope all is well with you as we are transitioning into warmer temperatures with these wonderfully balmy summer days. Just the kind of day you want to spend outside and enjoy a good tabletop roleplaying game with your friends or even read a good book. Regardless of whatever fandoms you enjoy, keep up with them just as I do. But before I do so, let’s see what looks good this week in the indie comics world!

Wrong Earth: Fame & Fortune #1 (one-shot)
Writer(s): Mark Russell
Artist(s): Michael Montenat
Cover Artist(s): Jamal Igle, Gene Ha
Publisher: Ahoy Comics

Synopsis: “A satirical one-shot from superstar writer Mark Russell spotlighting both gritty vigilante Dragonfly and his cheerful counterpart, Dragonflyman! On Earth-Alpha, Dragonflyman and his billionaire alter-ego Richard Fame work to bring citizens together….”

It seems Dragonfly and Dragonflyman are as different as night and day. One is a cheerful hero while the other is a gritty masked avenger. Regardless though, they both wish for the same goal of building a grand sports stadium bearing their name!

Minions: Mini Boss #1 (of 2)
Writer(s): Stephane Lapuss
Artist(s): Renaud Collin
Cover Artist(s): Renaud Collin
Publisher: Titan Comics

Synopsis: “Ahead of the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru in summer 2022, the banana-loving, mischievous Minions are back again to serve their despicable master! More chaos and hijinks are in store for the ever unexpected Minions in this all-new comic series, featuring the ever-loyal characters!

The Minions are back, and this time they serve at the pleasure of their most despicable master when he was still a young and emerging lad! Almost an origin story in of itself, this first part of a two-part tale no doubt covers the story of everyone’s favorite yellow lackeys as Dru comes into his own.

And there we have it for the week, Grand Geeks and Gatherers! Tales of everyone’s favorite yellow lackeys combined with multiverse heroes in their quest for justice and snobbery! These stories and so many more await you at the mere click of a button on your desktop computer keyboards or at the touch of a screen on your handheld phones and/or tablets. But since many of you support local businesses, I will implore you to head down to your comic shop this Wednesday in order to pick up the hard copy issues themselves. Read them and share with you friends. Start a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two. But most importantly, remember…GGG!
