Hello to all you wonderful Grand Geeks and Gatherers out there! Hopefully all is well with you and you are continuing to stay safe. But more importantly, it is my fondest wish that even in times of social distancing that you continue to hold true to your fandoms. Circumstances have, in my opinion, only put delays in the normal flow of the comics business, which means its up to us as fans and consumers to make sure that comics continue to survive and also thrive. With that said, let’s see what indie suggestions I have for you this week!

Deep Blue #1
Writer(s): Bragi Schut
Artist(s): John Upchurch
Cover Artist(s): John Upchurch
Publisher: Mythos Comics

Synopsis: “Dobbs is the lone human survivor of an artificial intelligence apocalypse. Tortured and interrogated by “mechs” who believe he is their creator, his only desire is to be freed from his torment… until he makes a shocking discovery that changes everything.”

Fresh Comics

It’s not the first ever sign of seeing mankind overrun by artificial intelligence, but it is definitely a first when the very things that took over the world are focused upon the protagonist. In their infinite wisdom they are convinced that this man, Dobbs, is their creator and thus have taken to torturing him day in and day out. Naturally then his only wish is to be free of this nightmarish torment until a development comes around that makes him rethink said wish. My hunch is it has something to do with the female that is on the cover. But read on friends, and let’s see what Dobbs’ fate will be!
