Happy December, adoring Gatherers! Are you all ready for the holiday festivities that this month provides? Or are your minds preoccupied with the upcoming film Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Perhaps all this and more pervades your mind, as is the case with me. One way or another, time marches on and so does the cold and wintry month. So sit back, pull up that cup of cocoa or eggnog and lets get to seeing whats available for you indie readers!
Dark Circle Comics: The Mighty Crusaders #1

Cover Artist(s): Kelsey Shannon
Synopsis: ” ‘Back in the Saddle.’ The mightiest team of superheroes are back! A throw-down with a prehistoric terror in the heart of Washington D.C. sets the stage for the dramatic return of a wayward hero! Meanwhile, half a world away, a sinister plan begins to awaken an ancient evil!”
Ahhhhhh what an amazing week for such an iconic team to make their return to comics on behalf of the Dark Circle label! Simply put, the Mighty Crusaders are the paradigm of what is good in the realm of superhero team comics sans the Avengers or Justice League. And with them back in action taking on a prehistoric baddie while a dark plot unfolds elsewhere, you can rest assured you’re getting enough bang for your buck!

It has been quite a year for such a great character to be brought back into the comics fold on behalf of Chapterhouse. And just in case you did miss FCBD here’s your chance to catch up as well as enjoy a little bit more with some origin story thrown in by the actor famous for being the voice of Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon! So sit back, get some of that sweet egg nog, and find out just what Tom Evans does when he’s not fighting terrorists by day.
December kicks off with quite the lineup it seems. Blasts from the pasts. Oldies but goodies return. One way or another these are gems of the past that can now be enjoyed by the indie comic reading audience of the present, and they are yours for the taking. Simply pull up your tablet, phone or keyboard and go nuts. But you know what my suggestion’s going to be, right? Yeah, head down to your local comic book shop and show your support for their business and for comics in general by buying the issues in hard copy. Read them and share with your friends. Spark up a conversation and be sure to leave a comment or two. But most importantly Gatherers, remember…GGG!
