Jeff, Maddie, and Tyler learn how to throw a punch and talk about the nostalgic-filled miniseries. This 4 issues story was a lot of fun to read and we talk more about the comic below!

Synopsis

New Jersey, 1998. Chris has just started the teen dream job: working at Vinyl Mayhem, the local record store. She’s prepared to deal with anything—misogynistic metalheads, grunge wannabes, even a crush on her wicked cute co-worker, Maggie.

But when the staff’s favorite singer mysteriously vanishes the night before her band’s show in town, Chris finds out her co-workers are doing more than just sorting vinyl…her local indie record store is also a front for a teen girl vigilante fight club!

Issues # 1-4 are now available in single issue format and the trade paperback available on April 10! Pre-order on Amazon or at your local comic book shop! Buy the single issues on Comixology or at your local comic book shop, as well!

Carly Usdin

Carly Usdin got her start in the arts as a kid growing up in New Jersey; instead of writing papers, she’d turn in stop-motion videos for school assignments. The beginning of her career was spent in NYC at Viacom Media Networks; in her 5 years at Logo, she won a One Show Award and several Promax BDA Awards for her RuPaul’s Drag Race promo campaigns.

Carly left Viacom and relocated to Los Angeles in 2012. Her freelance clients include Funny or Die, CollegeHumor, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, World of Wonder, CBS, Fullscreen, Astronauts Wanted, New Form and YouTube. In 2015 she co-created “Le Bal,” a live drag extravaganza, with her business partner Cesar Hawas and the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown LA. Carly is a proud member of Film Fatales, the Alliance of Women Directors and the Academy of Magical Arts.

Carly’s first feature, an award-winning no-budget indie called Suicide Kale, is now available on iTunes, Vimeo, Seed&Spark and Amazon Prime. Her first comic book, Hi-Fi Fight Club, is now available from Boom! Studios. She is the showrunner and director of a new digital anthology series, Threads, now streaming on Verizon go90.
